The Remington Group is known for building some of the most vibrant commercial, retail and residential communities in Southern Ontario. Their portfolio includes destination shopping centres, condo and townhome collections as well as mixed-use urban developments and lifestyle centres. Remington wanted to create a contemporary, digitally enhanced sales centre for Remington Centre, an 800,000-square-foot/74,000-square-metre retail and mixed-use development in Markham, Ontario. The goal was to create an immersive, interactive space that not only showcased their offerings, but also demonstrated their commitment to building with a community-focused approach.
Remington engaged Kohn Partnership Architects to spearhead the project, and together they chose Envision to design, build and install the physical elements of the space. Our team worked closely with Remington to fully understand their aspirations, their physical space and their vision to create an interactive sales centre to promote Remington’s offerings and details, demonstrate the area of retail opportunity and exhibit the key benefits of development.
With that vision in mind, Envision designed and built a five-zone, fully immersive digital sales experience, featuring a custom, back-end database and content management system (CMS) to support 60 screens with digital and ambient content and immersive 3D interactive simulation programs. At the centre, Remington’s sales teams are able to walk current and potential customers through immersive content about the development, including vertical screens to learn about the Markham neighbourhood and digital touchpoints that showcase possible purchasing opportunities.
