Humber River Hospital opened its doors to the Toronto community in 2015, with a mission to deliver exceptional, innovative patient care, backed by cutting – edge technology. Today, Humber River is considered North America’s foremost digital hospital, thanks to technologically advanced programs such as integrated, operating – room video systems that allow surgeons to collaborate with medical experts across the globe, a hospital – wide digital command centre and self – guided robots that deliver food and supplies to patients and staff.
Hundreds of donors contributed to make the Humber River Hospital a reality, and in an effort to publicly recognize and thank every patron, the Humber River Hospital Foundation sought to create a designated space within the building to showcase the names of the people who helped build it.
They engaged Envision to design, build and install a multi – functional digital donor wall that would seamlessly fit into the Hospital’s existing architectural and environmental space, align with the tech – focused energy of the organization and provide both a static and interactive digital experience for visitors.
What are clients saying
“What stood out from the beginning was their design concept and the fact that the wall was a self-contained unit requiring minimal alterations to our facility.
They were a great partner and we found all aspects of the project were streamlined and easy for us to follow. They understood our goals and offered creative solutions along the way in a timely and friendly manner.”Helga Schnider / Sheila Street

With the understanding that people give to the Foundation in many ways, our team created a vibrant digital donor wall — the first of its kind on the Greater Toronto Area — that offered the Foundation flexibility to recognize major gift donors with a permanent fixture, and to profile donors and volunteers through a searchable interactive screen.
Through a content management system (CMS), the colorful, large – scale digital canvas also offers the Foundation a visual storytelling component, so that visitors can see and hear the direct impact that donors have on physicians, staff and most important, the patients at Humber River.
